The REVELRY FC is the ‘Finesse Custom’ model, crafted from a single-piece Monocoque (MQ) ZAION frame. This model is one of the lightest spinning reels in Daiwa’s lineup, making it perfect for finesse anglers. The AIRDRIVE DESIGN Upgrade provides smooth winding and highly responsive rotation, while the forged machine-cut ToughDigigear ensures buttery smooth rotation and a long-lasting drivetrain. The MQ body combines toughness with lightweight construction, and the updated cosmetics add a sleek, modern look. Daiwa’s new Airdrive Design, a four Pillar (Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft) design concept that reduces weight, and enhances rotational smoothness and responsiveness to create a reel that is next level in both form and function.
Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag startup. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a conventional side plate, instead using an engine plate to screw directly into the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.
A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is Daiwa’s brand new digitally designed, machine cut gearing system that insures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness and strength.
