Halco Tackle is a renowned Australian fishing tackle company with a rich history spanning over 70 years. Founded in 1950 by Hal Cooper, an engineer by trade, Halco began in a modest garage in Mosman Park, Western Australia, producing metal slice lures for salmon and tailor fishing. Hal's background in engineering led him to design and manufacture his own production machinery, allowing for the creation of high-quality lures that quickly gained popularity among local anglers. In 1980, Neil Patrick acquired Halco and expanded its product range to include plastic and wooden lures. The company continued to grow, and in 2001, Neil's son Ben took over, further innovating and expanding Halco's offerings. Today, Halco operates out of Fremantle, Western Australia, and manufactures its lures in Batam, Indonesia. The company is Australia's largest lure manufacturer, producing a diverse range of lures, including hard-body lures, metal lures, jigs, and soft plastics, all designed and tested to perform effectively in Australian waters
