The Glanz GB73-X5 is the perfect versatile big bait rod, accommodating a wide range of lures and styles from glide baits, stickbaits and large softbaits. With a wide casting range from 30-150g, it encompasses many of the most popular sized medium and large baits commonly used. The 7'3 length of the Black Out is easy to use on boats, shore or wading. The medium fast taper loads up nicely at the tip with smaller lures then steadily deeper through the blank with medium to large weights. The responsive carbon gives superb lure control to let the angler breathe life into their lures with ease. When hooked up, the rod offers excellent support throughout the middle and butt section for both a powerful fight and cushioning against thrown hooks. The blank loads smoothly all the way from the tip to the foregrip during casting, giving excellent distance for a rod of this length. The moderate taper not only allows for a wide range of cast weights, but also helps to minimise angler fatigue compared to longer rods. If you want to do aggressive twitching/jerking style retrieves with big baits, then this is the ideal rod. The same action allows the blank to effectively cast a wide variety of weights, from 50g minnows and soft baits, right through to XL 200g plus swimbaits, making it one of the most versatile rods in the range The Utopian Buster is the only model in the Glanz range with a two piece mid join meaning mobility and traveling is as easy as possible. Perfectly designed to cast and manipulate glide baits, crankbaits, topwater stickbaits and large minnows. When fully loaded, the rod exhibits a moderate taper which flexes smoothly from tip to foregrip. The rod can cast as light as 50g, but really starts to come alive with weights 70g and up. Big swimbaits in the 100-300g range are right in the rods comfort zone and it can go as large as 500g if required. If you are targeting large predatory species such as Murray cod, barramundi, mulloway and even GT on XL baits, then this is the rod! Handmade in Japan at Zenaq!
