Product Description
The 13 Fishing Concept TX3 has been spawned off the pedigree of the Concept TX2 however it features a larger body, spool, handle and Drag pressure. This larger body houses the massive Ti Coated Aluminium Main Gear and brass pinion gear reducing the weight of the reel yet maintaining strength.
The huge main gear increases the gear ratio to 8.1:1 making it an ideal reel to fish multiple applications. Equally at home jigging deeper reefs or fishing the heavy structure extracting mega barramundi from structure. The oversized main gear also facilitates the huge drag washers pumping out a massive 40lbs of fish stopping drag.
The Concept TX3 is constructed using 13 Fishing’s Cast Iron Carbon on both the side plates and chassis. This Cast Iron Carbon serves three functions in the TX3.
Firstly, it allows 13 Fishing to obtain the light weight of the reel with the TX3 coming in at just over 250g. This light weight is a huge positive when fishing all day either jigging of throwing larger lures and will help with angler fatigue.
Secondly this material provides excellent protection when it comes to fishing the TX3 in harsh saltwater environments due to its corrosion free properties.
Finally, the Cast Iron Carbon is incredibly strong and rigid. This has allowed 13 Fishing to make a light-weight heavy duty bait caster and not compromise on strength and quality of reel.
The Concept TX3 also features a combination of 13 Fishing’s CZB Zero Bearing technology paired with its Black Sealed corrosion resistant ball bearings. This combination offers anglers protection against harsh environments where it is needed yet maintains the silky-smooth feeling 13 Fishing Concept reels are famous for.
