The KL is a recurve or circle hook. Originally conceived as a cross between a “Longline” hook and a wide gap or kahle hook. It has a straight eye and an offset point. Designed to “self hook” and ensure most fish are hooked in the corner of the mouth. Do not strike. Leave the drag on and the fish will hook themselves. The KL hook will roll into the corner of the mouth with very few gut hooks

Product Description

  • Made of medium gauge high carbon steel wire making a strong hook with a solid hook-up rate
  • Manufactured in Japan with a precision crafted and super sharp, chemically sharpened point
  • Black lacquer coating means it’s hard for fish to spot. This coating also allows the hook to rust away quickly if left in a fish’s mouth. To help avoid corrosion, wash the hook after use, dry and spray with a protective coating. (e.g. Inox, CRC, WD40 etc.) Store separately from unused hooks

SOLID AND DEPENDABLE.

When you're fishing in deeper water or rough surf, or you just need a rock solid recurve hook that will get the job done, then the KL hook is up to the task. The recurve gape and point are designed to self hook when your fish tries to swim off with your bait, and most hook ups will be in the corner of the mouth which improves your chances of a safe and healthy catch and release. Made from a medium gauge high carbon steel wire, our KL hooks are strong. And the chemically sharpened point assists with penetration by reducing the amount of friction created.
