Product Description

The Daiwa 22 Seapower Electric Fishing Rod Range has been developed specifically for anglers who regularly fish deep offshore waters using modern electric reel systems. Whether you're dropping baits hundreds of metres below the boat for blue-eye trevalla, targeting bar cod and bass groper on deep reef systems or prospecting for ruby snapper and hapuka offshore, the Seapower range is designed to handle the unique demands of electric fishing applications.

Unlike traditional overhead rods, the Seapower series has been engineered around the realities of deep drop fishing where rods spend much of their time in rod holders under constant load. Daiwa's GLATECH blank construction combines a carbon core with longitudinal fibreglass reinforcement to create a softer, shock-absorbing action that helps cushion aggressive head shakes and sudden lunges while reducing pressure on braid, leaders and hooks. The result is a rod that works with both the fish and the electric reel system rather than against them.

Further improving performance is Daiwa's X45X Full Shield technology. By increasing torsional stiffness throughout the blank, X45X helps reduce unwanted blank twist under heavy loads, improving lifting efficiency and ensuring more power is transferred directly to the fish during prolonged battles in deep water.

The Seapower range also features premium offshore componentry throughout. Fuji Silicon Carbide (SiC) guides provide exceptional braid management and durability, while the heavy-duty ALPS swivelling roller tip helps maintain smooth line flow and reduces line twist during retrieves from extreme depths. A custom Daiwa bent butt design further improves rod positioning in rod holders and fighting chairs, enhancing comfort and control during long sessions offshore.

One of the standout additions to the range is the B63-3/4 model, which has been specifically designed to pair with the newer generation of compact electric reels such as the smaller 300-size Seaborg models. This gives anglers a lighter and more versatile option for deepwater fishing without sacrificing lifting power or reliability.

Built for serious offshore anglers, the Daiwa 22 Seapower range delivers the strength, durability and fish-fighting performance required when targeting some of Australia's toughest deepwater species.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

GLATECH blank construction combines a carbon core with fibreglass reinforcement to create a forgiving, shock-absorbing action that protects braid, leaders and hooks during hard fights.

X45X Full Shield technology reduces blank twist under heavy loads, improving lifting efficiency and maximising power transfer when fighting fish from significant depths.

The softer blank profile is specifically tuned for electric reel fishing, helping reduce pressure spikes while maintaining excellent fish control.

Fuji SiC guides provide exceptional durability and smooth braid management when fishing heavy line classes and electric reel systems.

The heavy-duty ALPS swivelling roller tip improves line control and reduces line twist during long retrieves from deep water.

Custom Daiwa bent butt designs improve rod positioning in rod holders while enhancing leverage and fish-fighting comfort offshore.

The dedicated B63-3/4 model pairs perfectly with compact electric reels, creating a lighter and more versatile deep drop setup.

Purpose-built for Australian deepwater fishing applications targeting blue-eye trevalla, bar cod, bass groper, ruby snapper and other offshore bottom species.
