Product Description
The Daiwa 25 Dragger X series has been purpose-built for anglers wanting a capable and affordable shore casting rod range that delivers genuine performance across a wide variety of Australian land-based fishing situations.
Designed around modern shore jigging and lure casting techniques, the Dragger X range comfortably handles everything from metal jigs and sinking pencils through to hardbodies, soft plastics and lighter topwater presentations. Whether fishing beaches for salmon and tailor, working breakwalls for mulloway or casting from rocky headlands for kingfish and tuna, the range offers impressive versatility across changing fishing conditions.
At the core of the series is Daiwa’s Braiding X blank construction. This reinforced carbon structure improves blank strength and hoop resistance while maintaining a lightweight and responsive feel in the hand. The result is a rod that casts exceptionally well, remains comfortable during long sessions and still maintains the lifting power needed when larger fish are hooked close to structure.
One of the standout characteristics of the Dragger X range is how easy the rods are to fish. The lightweight blank design reduces fatigue during repetitive casting while the responsive tip sections allow anglers to work a wide range of lure styles effectively. Fast recovery actions help improve casting distance and lure control, making the rods equally effective for both shore jigging and traditional lure casting applications.
The range also includes dedicated SLSJ (Super Light Shore Jigging) models. These rods have been specifically developed for finesse shore jigging applications using smaller metal jigs and lighter tackle. Ideal for anglers targeting tailor, salmon, bonito and other inshore species, the SLSJ models offer exceptional sensitivity and lure control while maintaining surprising fish-fighting strength for their class.
Fuji K Guides complete the package, helping reduce line tangles and improve casting efficiency when fishing braided line. Combined with durable aluminium oxide guide rings and lightweight blank construction, the Dragger X range delivers outstanding value for anglers wanting a reliable shore casting platform capable of handling a broad variety of Australian fishing conditions.
