The Daiwa 25 Saltiga J series marks the return of a true dedicated Saltiga jigging platform, built specifically for serious offshore jigging and heavy bottom fishing applications. Designed around modern Australian offshore conditions, the range combines immense lifting power with lightweight responsiveness and refined jigging control for anglers targeting demanding offshore species.

At the core of the range is Daiwa’s advanced SVF Nanoplus carbon blank construction. By increasing graphite density while reducing excess resin throughout the blank, Daiwa has created rods that feel significantly lighter and more responsive while maintaining the strength needed for heavy offshore jigging. The fast recovery design allows anglers to work jigs more efficiently with less physical effort, improving jig action while reducing fatigue during long sessions offshore.

The Saltiga J range has been designed around aggressive mechanical jigging styles and heavy offshore applications where direct power transfer and fish control are critical. Whether fishing knife jigs for kingfish over reef edges, targeting samson fish around deep structure or working larger jigs for tuna and amberjack, the rods maintain impressive lifting authority while still feeling balanced and responsive in the hand.

A major feature of the series is Daiwa’s new POWER HOLD reel seat system featured on the spinning models. The enlarged hood design almost fully encloses the reel foot, eliminating exposed threads and pressure points that commonly cause discomfort during heavy jigging. The result is a far more secure and comfortable grip during prolonged offshore fights and aggressive jigging situations.

Daiwa’s Complete Control grip design further improves leverage and fish-fighting stability by naturally locking the angler’s hand into position under heavy drag pressure. Combined with Fuji Titanium-framed SiC guides and Fuji GRC gimbal butt caps, the rods maintain excellent braid management, corrosion resistance and long-term offshore durability.
