The Daiwa 25 Saltiga SJ series has been developed specifically for modern offshore anglers wanting a highly refined slow jigging rod range capable of working technical jigging presentations with precision, efficiency and control.
Designed jointly between Daiwa Japan engineers and Daiwa Australia product managers, the Saltiga SJ lineup has been carefully tuned around Australian offshore conditions and fishing styles. Rather than building overly stiff or physically demanding jigging rods, Daiwa has focused on creating lightweight, responsive and highly fishable actions that maximise jig performance while dramatically reducing angler fatigue throughout long offshore sessions.
The Saltiga SJ range is purpose-built for slow jigging and technical flutter-style presentations where lure control and subtle rod input play a critical role in triggering bites. Whether fishing deep reef edges for snapper and pearl perch, working offshore structure for kingfish and samson fish or targeting reef species such as coral trout and red emperor, the rods maintain exceptional jig responsiveness and direct connection to the lure throughout the retrieve.
At the core of the range is Daiwa’s high-elasticity SVF Nanoplus graphite blank construction. This advanced carbon platform produces lightweight quick-recovery blanks with increased rebound, allowing anglers to work jigs with smaller and more refined rod movements while still creating aggressive jig action underwater. The increased responsiveness allows jigs to react faster and more naturally during both the lift and fall phases of the retrieve.

Combined with premium Fuji Titanium-framed SiC guides, the rods maintain excellent braid management, corrosion resistance and long-term durability in demanding offshore environments.
