The Shimano SLX DC 150 is a seriously versatile baitcaster, built around Shimano’s I-DC4 digital braking system. The reel electronically controls spool braking during the cast, helping reduce overruns and making it easier to cast everything from plastics and vibes through to crankbaits and spinnerbaits. It uses a rigid aluminium frame and is a great all-round option for freshwater and light saltwater lure fishing. Shimano confirms the SLX DC platform uses I-DC4 braking and an aluminium frame.
