Product Description
Jackall Maekon 180SF Jointed Swimbait
The Jackall Maekon 180SF represents the latest evolution in Jackall’s high-performance swimbait range. Built with the innovative Mono Flex Joint System, this 180mm slow-floating swimbait delivers exceptional responsiveness, natural movement and precise control, making it ideal for targeting trophy predators in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
At the core of the Maekon 180SF is its Mono Flex Joint System, which increases the range of motion between the front and rear body sections. When action is applied, the front body responds instantly while the rear body follows with a slight delay. This time-lagged movement creates a staggered rolling action that closely mimics real prey. The delayed rear section also acts as a natural brake, allowing for tight, controlled presentations with minimal forward travel — perfect for working structure and confined strike zones.
On a straight retrieve, the Maekon 180SF produces a powerful wobble reminiscent of a magnum crankbait. Despite its size, the flexible joint system creates a surprisingly light and comfortable winding experience, giving anglers excellent feedback and control.
The natural flat-side body design enhances water displacement during walk-the-dog retrieves, creating strong surface presence and realistic swimming action. The slash cut tail joint increases water resistance and boosts movement efficiency without relying on fixed hardware, allowing for easy maintenance and tail replacement.
Crafted from durable hard silicone, the tail generates significant water push while maintaining its shape over time. A rear feather hook acts as a subtle braking system, helping to tighten lure movement during directional changes and improving strike-zone control.
Designed to dive to approximately 1.2 metres, the Maekon 180SF excels when targeting Murray cod, barramundi, flathead and jewfish in impoundments, rivers and coastal systems. Its slow-floating design and natural S-swim action make it especially effective in pressured or clear-water conditions where lifelike presentation is critical.
