Samaki Zing Xtreme Graphite Rods
The Samaki Zing Xtreme range combines graphite blanks with Fuji guides and reel seats, CrossCore Wrap construction and carbon locking rings. With a broad choice of lengths, actions and casting ratings, the range lets you choose a rod around the lures you actually fish rather than relying on a model code alone.
Before your next session, think about your usual lure weight, casting space and transport needs. A light-lure outfit, a compact rod for close work and a heavier casting setup need different specifications. Start with the model's casting range, then match its line rating, length and action to your reel and technique.
Choosing a light-lure spin model
- SZX-701SXL-MF: A 7'0" one-piece, moderate-fast model rated for 3–8lb line and 1/16–1/4oz casting weights. Choose this when those lighter lure weights match your fishing.
- SZX-701SL-EF and SZX-702SL-EF: Both are 7'0" extra-fast models rated for 4–8lb line and 1/16–3/8oz casting weights. The key distinction is transport: the 701 is one-piece and the 702 is two-piece.
- SZX-742SL-MF: A 7'4" two-piece, moderate-fast option rated for 3–8lb line and 1/16–3/8oz casting weights. Choose this when you prefer more length and a different action from the 7'0" extra-fast options.
- SZX-762SXL-EF: A 7'6" two-piece, extra-fast model rated for 2–8lb line and 1/32–1/4oz casting weights. Its listed lower casting limit makes it worth considering when very light presentations are part of your setup.

- SZX-601BH-F: A 6'0" one-piece, fast-action model rated for 12–20lb line and 3/8–1oz casting weights. Choose this when you want a short rod with a higher casting limit than the 601BM or 601BMH.
- SZX-661BM-F: A 6'6" one-piece, fast-action rod rated for 6–12lb line and 3/16–1/2oz casting weights. Its lower listed casting range makes it a useful option for lighter presentations within the baitcasting selection.

Before you choose
Match the rod's casting range to the total weight being cast, including the jighead or sinker, lure and other rig components. Line rating is a setup guide, not a fish-weight limit or a recommended drag setting.
