The Shimano Aerlex 14000XSC is purpose-built for surfcasting anglers who demand maximum casting distance, precision and control. Designed to perform across beaches, rock platforms and piers, this reel combines advanced Shimano technology with a long cast design to help you reach fish beyond the breakers.
At the core of the Aerlex is Shimano’s Super Slow 5 oscillation system, which creates an ultra-precise parallel line lay on the spool. This significantly reduces friction as line leaves the spool, resulting in longer, smoother and more accurate casts.
The reel also features Shimano’s AR-C spool design, which further enhances casting performance by reducing line trouble and improving line flow. Combined with the Parallel Body design, the spool is perfectly aligned with the rod, reducing line slap and maximising casting efficiency.
