At the core of the reel is Shimano’s CoreSolid Body design, integrating the frame, side plate and level wind guard into a single aluminium structure. This creates an ultra-rigid, flex-free body that delivers the solid, connected feel of a round reel while maintaining the ergonomic comfort of a low-profile baitcaster.
Casting performance is elevated with the inclusion of the MGL Spool III, reducing spool inertia to improve casting distance and control. The refined spool design, being larger and narrower, works seamlessly with Shimano’s SVS Infinity braking system to deliver precise, consistent and backlash-resistant casting across a wide range of lure weights.
