The Shimano Extraction Offshore Fishing Rod Range has been developed for anglers wanting a high-performance offshore rod capable of covering multiple fishing techniques without the premium price tag often associated with specialist offshore tackle.
Designed specifically for Australian offshore conditions, the Extraction range combines modern blank technology with proven componentry to create a series equally comfortable jigging deep structure, casting stickbaits at surface-feeding fish or working topwater lures around reefs and pressure points. With spinning, overhead, jigging and topwater models available, the range offers genuine versatility for offshore anglers.
At the heart of the series is Shimano's T45 High Modulus Carbon blank construction. This lightweight yet powerful blank design provides excellent responsiveness and lifting power while maintaining the strength required for battling hard-fighting pelagic and reef species. The crisp blank recovery improves casting accuracy and lure control while helping reduce fatigue during long days on the water.
Fuji K-Series guides fitted with Silicon Carbide (SiC) inserts further enhance performance by reducing friction and promoting smooth line flow. This helps maximise casting distance while minimising wind knots and tangles when fishing braided lines.
