The Shimano Grappler Overhead Reel is purpose-built for light jigging and versatile offshore fishing, combining compact design with impressive power and performance. Designed to sit comfortably in the palm, this 300 size reel offers excellent control when working jigs and managing line.
At the heart of the Grappler is Shimano’s Micromodule Gear II and X-Ship technology, delivering ultra-smooth winding and efficient power transfer. This ensures reduced resistance under load, allowing anglers to fish harder and longer with less fatigue.
Constructed with a rigid Hagane Body, the reel maintains strength and stability during fights with powerful fish. Despite its compact size, the Grappler delivers up to 7kg of drag, providing the stopping power needed to turn fish and stay in control.
The high gear ratio of 6.2:1 makes it ideal for working micro jigs with speed and precision, while still being versatile enough for bottom fishing applications in deeper water.
Equipped with a 70mm handle and CI4+ power knob, the reel offers improved grip, leverage and comfort during extended sessions. Available in both right and left hand models, the Shimano Grappler is a well-rounded reel for anglers chasing performance in a lightweight package.
