Vexed Micro Meat 10g Jig
The Vexed Micro Meat 10g Jig is designed to increase catch rates when targeting popular inshore species such as sand whiting, king george whiting, bream and flathead. Developed as a micro version of the popular Bottom Meat concept, this hybrid jig offers anglers multiple ways to fish effectively from both boat and shore.
One of the most effective ways to fish the Micro Meat is as the sinker on a paternoster rig. Instead of using a traditional sinker, the jig becomes an active fish-catching presentation on the bottom of the rig. Since many whiting are commonly caught on the bottom dropper of a paternoster rig, using the Micro Meat as the sinker creates an additional strike opportunity directly on the seafloor.
During testing sessions targeting sand whiting and king george whiting, the Micro Meat Hybrid consistently caught more fish when fished as the sinker compared to the traditional bottom dropper hook. By replacing the sinker with the Micro Meat, anglers effectively place two prime fish-catching presentations in the strike zone.
Each Micro Meat is tied using super strong and extremely sharp BKK hooks, combined with a carefully selected mix of glow and UV flash fibres along with rubber strands to maximise attraction. These materials provide subtle movement and flash that helps trigger bites even in low visibility conditions.
The jig can also be baited with small strips of fish or squid to further increase its effectiveness when targeting species such as whiting, bream, flathead and inshore snapper.
When fished without bait, the Micro Meat can be cast and worked across sand flats, slowly hopped along the seabed or lightly jigged in shallow water around structure and bait schools.
