SLX BFS has been reborn with refined casting performance. The newly equipped ultra-super duralumin spool is excellent in handling lightweight lures and enables to release lures with a low trajectory. Excellent compatibility with the centrifugal magnet brake FTB that resists backlash and allows long casts to be performed smoothly. Basic features, such as the lightweight & highly rigid HAGANE BODY and CARBON CROSS WASHER for smooth drag performance, are also included. This is one you can use in estaury, creeks or freshwater streams.

Shimano’s original brake mechanism FTB (Finesse Tune Brake System) reduces problems such as backlash and allows you to cast light lures without stress. This is Shimano’s original brake mechanism that combines a centrifugal magnetic brake that changes depending on the rotation speed with a spool that has been made lighter by eliminating the brake unit. Based on this core technology, the new SLX BFS is equipped with a lighter, lower inertia ultra-super duralumin spool with a diameter of 32 mm and a width of 22 mm. It sends lightweight lures to the target point with a low trajectory that crawls on the water surface without any trouble, demonstrating casting performance that approaches that of higher-end models.
