General House-Keeping

The Hot Tackle website operates around the clock, giving customers the chance to review our catalogue from the comfort of your own home. We’ll continue to update the site with the latest and greatest in product ranges as they are released and enhance our product range as often as possible.

Being based in Australia, all our pricing is in the local currency (AUD) and include GST. We are committed to providing great value for our customers and maintain low pricing as much as possible, and as such pricing is subject to change throughout the products lifecycle.

When you order from Hot Tackle (and provided you left us an email contact), you’ll receive an invoice once the order is complete and a second notification from us when the order has been shipped. This second email will provide you with key tracking information allowing you to keep an eye on the progress of the delivery.

Online Security

At Hot Tackle, it is our  to create a safe and secure environment for payments online. We will never store your information after purchase.

Our website utilises the services of Stripe, to process payments securely and safely. Stripe ensures that the customers details are kept secure and safe throughout the entire payment process.

Alternatively, we have other secure payment options including Paypal, Afterpay and Zippay, and will continue to monitor trends in the market with a view to include more platforms should the need arise. Each of the aforementioned companies pride themselves on providing users a secure platform for trade, and take their online security very seriously.

The intention is to always provide customers with complete, detailed and accurate information in regards to products listed on the site. Despite out best efforts, on occasion we might see mistakes in how products are described. On these rare occasions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly and we’ll help clear up any ambiguity.

Pricing, Competition and Discounts

Price information is subject to change without notice. We’ll always endeavour to provide you with the best price in Australia. Feel free to contact us direct on Facebook, Instagram or via telephone if you’d like us to beat a cheaper price elsewhere.

If provided with a discount code, please use this when at the checkout.


If you wish to place items on hold for progress payments, please call us direct and we can process your order from our instore system. Please note, laybys are restricted for customers over the age of 18. 

Order Issues

If you made a mistake and changed your mind on a purchase, please contact us directly ASAP and we can try and cancel your order. We do our best to get orders out promptly so there’s no guarantee that this can be stopped before dispatch, but we’ll promise we’ll do our best. If we’ve already sent the item, we’ll work with you to come to a solution to get the goods back and then provide a refund.

If you received an order and noticed immediate damage to the external box/parcel or the product itself, we need to be made aware as soon as possible. Please call us direct at either store and we can come to a solution.

Shipping Costs

Our Free Shipping clause applies to Mainland Australia. If costs are reasonable to islands around Australia, we’ll send it no questions asked. If freight estimates blow out however, we’ll contact you and attempt to negotiate a rate that appeases both parties. Offshore islands can on occasion be very expensive to reach, particularly with rod boxes, so we must review each shipment on a case by case basis.
