The TC 84-100G Type R has a nice springy tip makes it perfect for working stickbaits up to around 120g with a max cast weight of 150g yet It still possesses enough stiffness in the mid section to work poppers to around 90-100g. The bottom end of this rod is extremely powerful, stopping fish in their tracks. This power in the butt also gives it the ability to lift stubborn beast of the bottom without putting too much strain on the angler. The Tobizo TC84-100G has been designed specifically for chasing big tuna (around the 20 – 50kg mark) and large kingfish but is also great for species like GT and Spanish mackerel as well as extracting giant reef fish from the coral flats. The TC84-100G Type R will best suit either a Shimano 14000 or Daiwa 14000 size reel body.

The Tobizo TC86-110G has been designed specifically for chasing kingfish and tuna but is also great for species like Spanish mackerel and small GT. Zenaq Tobizo TC 83-150 Type R
The Tobizo 83-150 Type R is the perfect all-rounder rod for chasing GT as well as tuna and many other large pelagic species. It covers a casting range of 90-170g which takes in many of the most popular lures for GT fishing. We find the rod is great for stickbaits across the full cast weight range and large cup face poppers up to around 140g. The tip has some initial flex to work the stickbaits, then it steadily ramps up through the mid-section to help pull poppers through the water. From the first guide through to the butt, the rod possesses excellent lifting power and is able to stretch PE8 to the limit. The 83-150 is ideal as an all day rod for GT fishing as it has the power land large fish, but is still light enough in the hand for long casting sessions.

This power in the butt also gives it the ability to lift stubborn beasts of the bottom without putting too much strain on the angler. The Tobizo TC80-200G has been designed specifically for chasing XOS GT but is also great for species like large tuna, giant kingfish and Spanish mackerel when they’re eating bigger baits.
